Mandela Day Magic with Vino Snaps & the Teddy Bear Clinic 🧸⚽
This #MandelaDay, the SAJBD had the joy of spending 67 minutes (and more!) making a real difference alongside the incredibly gifted sports photographer @VinoSnaps and the compassionate Dr. Efrat Barnes-Wald from the Teddy Bear Clinic.
To honour Madiba’s legacy by pouring love, hope, and opportunity into the lives of our youth - the heartbeat of South Africa’s future we donated to two ongoing projects.
We donated soccer balls and selling stock to support young entrepreneurs at local soccer tournaments, helping small businesses grow while giving aspiring players the tools to chase their dreams.
We delivered 67 teddy bears to children at the Teddy Bear Clinic, to bring a sense of comfort and courage when these children come in for their forensic medical examinations post an induce incident. Because no child should feel alone in moments of fear.
Further the SAJBD have commited to renovating the children’s clinic’s examination room to create a warm, welcoming, child-friendly space that helps turn pain into healing.
✨ These acts may seem small… but together, they create ripples of hope that can last a lifetime.
We’re humbled to walk this journey with changemakers and to stand for the youth - the future torchbearers of Madiba’s dream. 🌟
