On Friday, the South African Jewish Board of Deputies (SAJBD) attended the National Convention of the National Dialogue.
Unfortunately due to the event being scheduled on Friday and Saturday, the delegation could only be attend part of the convention. As inclusivity is a fundamental principle of the dialogue we hope that future activities take into consideration religious practices of the different faith communities.
The SAJBD remains committed to constructive dialogue as a means of addressing the country’s pressing challenges. Over the years, we have actively engaged on a wide range of issues, including poverty alleviation, gender-based violence, and economic development. We will continue to play a meaningful role in national conversations and to represent the interests and perspectives of the South African Jewish community
