Community Update

Dear South African Jewish Community

Globally and locally, we are having to cope with the impact of the continually unfolding Corona Virus pandemic. Over the past days, our community too has been affected.

Tonight, our communal leadership will be meeting with experts in the field of infectious diseases to understand the issues as they pertain to our community and communal organisations and to plan and coordinate our responses.

Many of our organisations are already analysing how this will impact on their functioning and are in the process of putting new systems in place to better manage these inevitable challenges. These plans will be shared and coordinated.

Together, as the Jewish communal leadership, we will determine what is the best way forward.

Later tonight, a letter will be sent to the community sharing the outcomes of the discussions.
