Mandela Day

This Mandela Day, the SAJBD was proud to partner with the incredible Maharishi Institute to serve Johannesburg’s inner-city community.

Together, we helped provide more than 5,000 meals and learned about the Institute’s inspiring work, led by its Jewish CEO and founder, Taddy Blecher. Through education and holistic support, the Maharishi Institute is transforming lives and helping build a brighter future for the inner city.

As a Jewish community, we are guided by the value of Tikkun Olam, repairing the world through acts of service and compassion. Thank you to the Maharishi Institute for showing what is possible when communities unite to create meaningful change.

Mandela Day is not just one day of service… it is a legacy that calls on all of us to keep making a difference.
