SAJBD represents SA Jewry at the AJC

The SAJBD was proud to represent South African Jewry at the AJC - American Jewish Committee Global Forum 2026 in Washington, DC, alongside more than 2,000 Jewish leaders, diplomats, students and activists from around the world.

A key highlight was engaging directly with senior representatives from TikTok, Meta, Google, YouTube and X on the challenge of online antisemitism and the need for greater accountability from digital platforms.

The conference also underscored the resilience and vibrancy of Jewish life in South Africa. While many Jewish communities around the world are facing unprecedented levels of antisemitism, South African Jews continue to live openly and proudly as Jews. Ensuring that our community has a voice in these global conversations is an important part of the SAJBD’s mandate to advocate for, protect and strengthen Jewish life in South Africa
